There are hopes Rule The World (Hallowed Crown) can replicate the outstanding 3-year-old efforts of his sire, after a brilliant win at Randwick where the juvenile maintained his perfect record with a gritty display.
The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained gelding had won on a soft track at Canterbury on debut and he again made all on the heavy ground under rider Tim Clark and showed admirable fighting qualities to hold his advantage to the line in the Australian Turf Club H.
Hallowed Crown won six of his nine starts for the late Bart Cummings and his grandson James and was successful in both of his 2-year-old starts, including the G3 Kindergarten S.
The colt came out the following season to claim the G1 Golden Rose S. and the G1 Randwick Guineas before retiring to Darley.
Hallowed Crown raced in the colours of Gooree Stud, who bred and own Rule The World and co-trainer Bott has high hopes his son can develop a similar profile in his classic season.
“They’re famous colours and they've had some great success with us and it's fantastic to have another nice prospect for them. There’s a lot of upside to him,” he said.

“We wanted to come here and give him that little bit more experience and try and get his prize money up to get in the better races in the spring.
“We’ll most likely look to give him a little let-up now and there’s some nice targets we’d like to pick off.”
Rule The World was quickly into stride and got away with some soft early sectionals before sprinting off the bend. He was clear 200 metres from home and had enough in reserve to head for a break with his undefeated record intact.
“The best thing about him is he’s very professional and laid-back,” Bott said. “He was very tractable for Tim and was able to use his tactical speed and control the race.

"He quickened at the right time and was tough and fought it out.”

The filly Betcha Flying (Uncle Mo {USA}) did well to come from the back for second and Roman Wolf (Deep Field) got out of the trail late to finish off and edge Frosty Rocks (Your Song) out of third.
Rule The World is a son of Pay Off Now (Danehill Dancer {Ire}), also the dam of the multiple winner Gentle Persuasion (More Than Ready {USA}), who is a half-sister to the dual Group 3 winner Gamble Me (Rock Of Gibraltar {Ire}).
Further back in the pedigree is the dual Group 1 winner and champion sire Seeking The Gold (USA) (Mr Prospector {USA}) and the G1 Aqueduct Remsen S. winner Fast Play (USA) (Seattle Slew {USA}).
