In the build up to the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, we will pick out three yearlings each day who have had substantial pedigree updates in the past couple of months.
Today, we look at a filly who has been given a Group 2 update from afar, a colt who has received a similar boost on the domestic front and daughter of Snitzel who has a new stakes-winning half-sister.
Lot 57 – Tivaci x Mary D’Or (Fr) (Verglas {Ire}) – On Account of Bhima Thoroughbreds
Frosted Gold (All Too Hard) is a half-brother to this filly and he was the Group 2 winner of the South African Nursery and runner-up in the G1 Gold Medallion before he added another Group 2 second in last month’s Turffontein Gauteng Guineas.
Their dam, whose four foals to race have all won, was stakes placed in France and she is a sister to the G1 Prix Jean Prat winner Stormy River (Fr) (Verglas {Ire}) and a three-quarter sister to the G1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud winner Silverwave (Fr) (Silver Frost {Ire}).

Lot 111 – Capitalist x Noondie (Flying Spur) – On Account of Mill Park Stud
This colt is a half-brother to the G1 Oakleigh Plate and G2 Thousand Guineas Prelude winner Booker (Written Tycoon) and her brother Banquo is the Listed Springtime S. winner and recently provided another update when runner-up in the G2 Autumn S.
The dam is a half-sister to the stakes-winner Tranquility (Redoute’s Choice) and another headline act in the family is Umrum (Umatilla {NZ}), winner of two editions of the G1 Toorak H. and a multiple elite level placegetter.

Lot 152 – Snitzel x Quench The Thirst (Encosta De Lago) – On Account of Newgate Farm
This filly is a half-sister to Sangria (I Am Invincible), who posted her first black type victory in the Listed Moomba Plate at Flemington earlier this month for her fourth win from seven appearances.
Newgate’s youngster hails from a rich and deep pedigree and is the family of the multiple top-flight winner and champion sire Redoute’s Choice, his G1 Spring Champion S. winning brother Platinum Scissors and more recent Group and sire performance has been added by the popular Rubick.
