The first of the Inglis Ready2Race breeze-ups were held at Seymour on Monday, and of 40 2-year-olds to complete their 200-metre dash, a colt by Coolmore's second-season sire Vancouver came out on top with a slick time of 10.16s.

From the draft of JCS Thoroughbreds, the colt is out of Anatole (USA) (Quiet American {USA}), who is a half-sister to G1 Breeders’ Cup H. winner Man From Wicklow (USA) (Turkoman {USA}) and G2 Canadian H. scorer Wild Heart Dancing (USA) (Farma Way {USA}), and was purchased by JCS Racing for $80,000 at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale from the draft of Cornerstone Stud.

The second-fastest time of the day was from an Unencumbered colt also from the JCS Thoroughbreds draft and he stopped the clock at 10.20s.

He's the fourth foal out of three-time winner Magic Of Melbourne (Johannesburg {USA}), who is a half-sister to G3 Epona S. winner Consommateur (Roc De Cambes {NZ}) and R. Listed Karaka Mile runner-up Single Act (Bachelor Duke {USA}). Further back, this is also the family of G1 Spring Champion S. winner Magic Of Sydney (Danehill {USA}).

Two juveniles from the Sunhill Bloodstock draft posted the third and fourth-best times with a gelding by Darley first-season sire Astern clocking 10.29s and a colt by Akeed Mofeed (GB) posting a time of 10.31s.

The Astern gelding is out of Desert Prince (Ire) mare Prayer, who is a half-sister to multiple Group winner Hosannah (Octagonal {NZ}), and he was passed in for $30,000 at the Premier Sale, while the Akeed Mofeed colt was a $30,000 Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale purchase from the draft of Adelaide Plains Bloodstock.
