Snitzkraft (Snitzel) returned to the winner’s stall for the first time since December last year with an all the way victory here.
The 6-year-old gelding, who is trained by Phillip Stokes, jumped and went straight to the lead, leading the field by a considerable margin and he held on in the straight to defeat the fast finishing Shamino (Shamus Award) by 0.4l. Prophet's Thumb (I Am Invincible) ran on well to finish 1.6l back in third.

Snitzkraft’s dam Power O’Raylee (O’Reilly {NZ}) won five times and she is a daughter of the multiple winner and Listed performer La Banca (NZ) (Grosvenor {NZ}).
She is also the dam of the Listed Ray Coupland S. winner Moveovr (NZ) (Postponed {USA}) with a headline act on the pedigree page is the former New Zealand Horse of the Year Uncle Remus (NZ) (Bandmaster II {Ire}).
