G3 TABtouch Prince Of Wales S., $150,000, 1000m

Elite Street (Street Boss {USA}) has been in stellar form this time in, on the back of his first-up Listed Crawford S. victory recording an even more impressive win as an odds-on favourite in this Group 3 feature.

A seven-time winner from 15 starts, he was bred by Robert and Ann Anderson's Anita Vale Stud, also breeders of the Group 1 winners Portland Sky (Deep Field) and Scenic Shot (Scenic {Ire}). Withdrawn from the 2018 Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale, he is raced by his breeders with the Morton stable.

One of the 55 stakes winners and eight Group 1 winners sired by Darley's dual Group 1 winner Street Boss (USA) (Street Cry {Ire}), Elite Street is the first foal for the dual city winner Elite Ateates (Exceed And Excel).

Served last spring by Omaha Beach (USA) having produced a Written By colt last November, Elite Ateates is a daughter of the classy mare Ateates (Zeditave), winner of six races; four of those at Group 2 level.

Ateates' dam Paris Miss (Opera Prince) was also talented on the track and at stud, the G3 Light Fingers S. winner producing the G1 Newmarket H. winner Ruffles (Zeditave).

Not far off being a millionaire, Elite Street boasts strains of the close relations Northern Dancer (Can), Halo (USA), Danehill (USA) and Machiavellian (USA).

G3 Hosemasters Asian Beau S. $150,000, 1400m

In racing away to a very easy first-up victory, the exciting Western Empire (NZ) (Iffraaj {GB}) rounded off a great day for Bob & Sandra Peters whose fellow homebred Superstorm (Sebring) won the G1 Cantala S. at Flemington.

Recording this sixth success of his 11 start career, Western Empire is the third Peters winner of this race in the last four years - Inspirational Girl (NZ) (Reliable Man {GB}) and Galaxy Star (Redoute's Choice) the others.

Also a winner of the G2 WA Derby, Western Empire is one of former Haunui Farm shuttler Iffraaj (GB), who has done a great job in both hemispheres with his 81 stakes winners.

Western Empire's G2 Perth Cup-winning dam Western Jewel (Jeune {GB}) was also bred and raced by the Peters family and what a great job she is doing at stud, also producing the Listed Bunbury S. winner Western Temple (Dream Ahead {USA}).

Recently foaling a filly by Toronado (Ire), Western Jewel has a yearling full brother to Western Empire who has already been named Western Power.

Western Jewel's dam is the dual city winner Our Millster (Marooned {Ire}) who also produced the Listed Ranconteur S. winner Western Blaze (Hard Spun {USA}). Our Millster's dam is the G3 Strickland S. winner Timeless Action (Serheed {USA}).

Whilst Iffraaj boasts a strain of The Minstrel (Can), Western Jewel is bred on a 4 X 4 cross of that stallion's three-quarter brother Nijinsky II (Can), giving Western Empire a 6 X 6 X 6 cross of the Canadian Racing Hall of Fame member Flaming Page (USA) (Bull Page {USA}).
