G1 Telegraph H., NZ$250,000, 1200m

Entriviere (NZ) (Tavistock {NZ}) seeks to become the second horse in three years (Avantage by Fastnet Rock the other) to take out the G1 Railway H. and the G1 Telegraph H. double and having been so dominant last start she looks a top chance to do so.

The consistent Levante (NZ) (Proisir) seeks to turn the tables on Entriviere as does Packing Rockstar (Fastnet Rock) whose Railway effort for fourth off a tough run was full of merit. Roch 'N' Horse (NZ) (Per Incanto {USA}) did not have much luck in that race either.

Tavi Mac (NZ) (Tavistock {NZ}) is back in trip but was brave in defeat last start whilst Mascarpone (NZ) (Shooting To Win) was also gallant last time out, placed at Listed level off a wide run. Also in good form in Listed grade have been Live Drama (NZ) (Ghibellines) and Ocean Point (NZ) (Ocean Park {NZ}).

G3 Trentham S., NZ$80,000, 2100m

Hypnos (NZ) (Reliable Man {GB}) did not have the best of runs out wide in the G2 Rich Hill Mile, doing a good job to finish as close as he did.

With her definite touch of class House Of Cartier (Alamosa {NZ}) is always hard to beat in races like this whilst improvement is expected from On The Rocks (NZ) (Alamosa {NZ}) who has tackled Group 1 races at his last two starts

Hunta Pence (NZ) (No Excuse Needed {GB}) is still racing in good heart at nine whilst also up in grade off a nice recent win is Camino Rocoso (NZ) (Shocking).

Mohaka (NZ) (Nadeem) was close up without the best of luck in the Taupo Cup and Aquaoir (NZ) (Ocean Park {NZ}) looks ready for the step up in distance.

G2 Wellington Guineas, NZ$110,000, 1400m

So much winning form amongst this promising group of 3-year-olds. Shamus (NZ) (Shamexpress {NZ}) is yet to taste defeat and was most impressive racing away by 1.5l last time out.

Habana (Zoustar) seeks a hat-trick on the back of two determined victories over slightly shorter trips whilst Pareanui Bay (NZ) (Lonhro) is another who really knows how to find the line winning his first three before going down narrowly behind the Group 1 winner On The Bubbles (Brazen Beau).

Cavani (NZ) (Vespa {NZ}) is quickly up in class but did take out his maiden in style. Wairau Cove (NZ) (Darci Brahma {NZ}) is also facing a tougher test but could not have been more impressive winning at start number two by 5l. Blissful Belle (NZ) (Belardo {Ire}) also comes off an easy maiden victory.

G3 Anniversary H., NZ$80,000, 1600m

Coventina Bay (NZ) (Shamexpress {NZ}) should again prove to beat on the back of her impressive first-up victory in the G2 Challenge S. in mid-December. What a great record she boasts successful at half of her 18 starts to date.

The only other last-start winner is Bankers Choice (NZ) (Mongolian Khan) who is up in class but in great form, shooting for three in a row.

Nod Of The Head (NZ) (Per Incanto {USA}) is another with a good strike rate racing well and the consistent Red Hussar (Husson {Arg}) looks nicely prime for the step up to the mile.

Providenceprovides (Real Impact {Jpn}) ran two great races in Group company before finding trouble in the G2 Rich Hill Mile, a race in which Time To Celebrate (NZ) (Per Incanto {USA}) also struck interference.

Listed Wellesley S., NZ$60,000, 1100m

Just seven two-year-olds line up in search of early black type but it is still a race of interest with only one of the contestants being a debutant and two of the raced brigade are already winners Zaher (NZ) (Proisir) showing plenty of heart at his Otaki debut whilst Kana (NZ) (Tivaci) overcame trouble in running at Awapuni.

Charm Spirit (Ire) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) is represented by two runners Charmario (NZ) (Charm Spirit {Ire}) who was so tough placing at debut having struck plenty of trouble in running and the amusingly named Knickerless (NZ) (Charm Spirit {Ire}) was nabbed only late at her second outing.

Hanalei (NZ) (Darci Brahma {NZ}) was another to have run into interference at debut, doing a great job to still finish second. The sole first starter Amante Cara (NZ) (Mongolian Khan) has trialled soundly.
