G3 Auraria S., $120,000, 1800m
A big win by the lightly raced and promising My Whisper (Frankel {GB}) who was so gutsy having not enjoyed the best of runs from a wide gate. Adding merit to the performance was the fact that it was only her fourth start.
The winner of her last four - up in class each time - My Whisper is her superstar sire's 10th stakes winner on Australian soil and his 87th overall. A homebred for Yulong, she is the first foal for the imported Hersigh (GB) (Poet's Voice {GB}), daughter of the Listed winner Zayn Zen (GB) (Singspiel {Ire}).
Served last spring by Lucky Vega (Ire) (Lope De Vega {Ire}) having previously missed to Grunt (NZ) (O'Reilly {NZ}), Hersigh has a yet to be named 2-year-old filly by Snitzel (Redoute's Choice) and a yearling filly by Grunt.
A half-sister to the Listed Hyde S. winner Ennaadd (GB) (King's Best {USA}), Hersigh hails from the same branch of the internationally prolific Mumtaz Mahal (GB) (The Tetrarch {GB}) family as the wonderful filly Oh So Sharp (Ire) (Kris {GB}).
Boasting crosses of Sadler's Wells (USA) (Northern Dancer {Can}), Danzig (USA) (Northern Dancer {Can}) and Mr Prospector (USA) (Raise A Native {USA}), My Whisper is also line-bred to the wonderful mares Where You Lead (USA) (Raise A Native {USA}), Natalma (USA) (Native Dancer {USA}) and Flower Bowl (USA) (Alibhai {GB}).
Listed Dequetteville S., $100,000, 1050m

Bred by Aquis Farm and G1G Racing And Breeding, she fetched $27,000 as a Magic Millions Gold Coast National weanling (purchased by Kestrel Thoroughbreds) and $90,000 as a Magic Millions Gold Coast yearling, bought by Richard and Chantelle Jolly. One of the two stakes winners for her Aquis-based, sire, she is out of the dual city winner Shine On Anna (Anabaa {USA}), daughter of the stakes-placed Shine On Me (Ire) (Machiavellian {USA}).
Listed Port Adelaide Guineas, $100,000, 1800m
Harleymoven (Foxwedge) appreciated a step up in distance racing away to an easy win. The 24th stakes winner for his Woodside-based sire, he was bred by Mill Park Stud with Robert and Helen Dinham - passed in at the 2020 Magic Millions Adelaide. His dam Inishmore (More Than Ready {USA}) is a half-sister to the four-time Group winner Catapulted (Catbird).
