Sunday the spotlight will be put on the Terang meeting in Victoria. A debutant by one of the best juvenile sires in Australia, Exceed And Excel and a son of Impending who looks ready to break through for a first victory.

Iphimedia, 2-year-old filly (Exceed And Excel x Montana Sunset {More Than Ready {USA}})
The Robbie Griffiths and Mathew de Kock stable will debut a daughter of a leading juvenile sire in Exceed And Excel named ‘Iphimedia’ at Terang on Sunday afternoon.

Iphimedia is the ninth foal from the More Than Ready (USA) mare Montana Sunset. She was a three-time winner in her career, including placing in the G2 Light Fingers S.
Montana Sunset is a half-sister to Montana Flyer (Flying Spur), a multiple Group winner. Furthermore, this is also the family of the Group-performed Caravaggio (Al Maher) and Rock My Wand (Wandjina).
The filly was a $150,000 yearling purchase by Griffiths de Kock Racing and Peter Ford Thoroughbreds (FBAA) from the draft of Ashleigh Thoroughbreds at the 2022 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

Impending Link, 3-year-old gelding (Impending x Atlantic Queen {Fastnet Rock})
Greg Eurell will send out a 3-year-old son of Impending on Sunday afternoon at Terang. Impending Link has shown ability placing in his two starts to date. The step-up in distance to 1850 metres looks to be beneficial to the gelding.

Impending Link is the fourth foal from the Fastnet Rock mare Atlantic Queen. She was placed during her racing career and at stud she is already the dam to the four- time winner Atlantic King (More Than Ready {USA}).
The gelding’s second dam Cornwall Queen (King Marauding) was a classy race mare who won the G3 Thoroughbred Club S. and the Listed Tranquil Star S. in addition to being placed in the G1 Sires’ Produce S. among several other feature race places.
Impending Link was a $50,000 yearling purchase by Mixion Lam from the draft of Kitchwin Hills at the 2021 Magic Millions Gold Coast National Yearling Sale.

Saturday's selections were not very lucky with Starice (Maurice {Jpn}) unplaced at Kembla Grange, while Arizona Activist (Written Tycoon) was admirable in finishing fifth in the $1 million The Thoroughbred Breeders' Victoria Showdown.
