One of his sire’s 28 stakes winners, he is out of the stakes placed three times winner Yaloginda (Trade Fair {GB}). Slipping last spring to Maschino having foaled a Manhattan Rain colt in mid-October, Yaloginda has a yet to race 2-year-old called Malginda (Al Maher) whilst her 3-year-old daughter Deferred (Epaulette) has been close up at her first three starts for the Miller stable.
Yaloginda is a half-sister to the stakes placed Kamballie (Blackfriars) whose son Kallaroo (All American) won the Listed Fairetha S. A $28,000 purchase for the Lisa Latta stable from the Haunui Farm draft at the 2020 New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Yearling Sale (Book 2), Belardo Boy is one of the 11 stakes winners for his sire who now calls Bearstone Stud (UK) home. Bred by J E Fokerd & Haunui Farm, he is the second stakes performer for the Group 3 placed multiple city winner L'Amour (NZ) (Towkay), also dam of the stakes placed Cheveux (NZ) - also by Belardo.
Served last spring by Hello Youmzain (Fr) after foaling an Ace High filly (and an Eminent {Ire} filly the year before, L'Amour hails from the family of the stakes winners Julinsky Princess (NZ) (Stravinsky {USA}), Julinsky Prince (NZ) (Darci Brahma {NZ}), Nudge (Fastnet Rock), Unknown Heights (NZ) (Kaapstad {NZ}), Dontellthewife (NZ) (Volksraad {GB}) and Excuse My French (French Deputy {USA}).
