Older horses
Kokako (NZ), 5-year-old mare (Swiss Ace x Cortado {More Than Ready {USA}})
“Kokako is a Kiwi purchased filly that has shown a fair bit in her initial preparation. She is one of those types of mares from New Zealand and has done everything off raw ability.
“I do like her, she won her last jump out nicely in the fastest heat of the morning, I think, and she will run at Bendigo today (Wednesday).
Madame Maserati, 4-year-old mare (I Am Invincible x Smart Coupe {Smart Missile})
“She has had a bit of a freshen-up, she had a couple runs in stakes races after winning three in a row during the winter, she is a really well-bred filly that we purchased by Vinnie she was purchased pretty cheaply and has done a really good job.

“The last two runs on wet tracks probably took a bit of the wind out of her sails, so we have gone for a bit of a reset with her, and she will be ready at the back-end of Spring, and potentially more into the summer.”
3-year-olds
Invincible Woman, 3-year-old filly (I Am Invincible x Showcase {Big Brown {USA}})
“She obviously showed us a lot last prep, she is on the comeback trail after having throat surgery.
“She has come back in good order, we will take her along very slowly. She will have a gallop this week and then head to the trials.
“She won very well on debut. I’m pretty happy with her, we just need to tick all the boxes as they come each week, and get her progressing now. The proof is in the pudding once we get them to the trials.”

“Sparkling Luck is a promising horse, he is well-bred and is a three-quarter-brother to Persan, who was a very good stayer.
“He is going really really nice, his debut run was terrific, and he was solid again at Geelong last start.
“He is one who could step up to a stakes race in the Spring, I really like him.
“He is a 3-year-old who could get up over a trip the other day.”

Hyde Park Corner, 3-year-old gelding (I Am Invincible x Jalan Jalan {Foreplay})
“A lovely I Am Invincible gelding who was really good on debut at Sandown running fourth in what looked a good race. He is a promising type and will run at Bendigo today (Wednesday).
“I think he could be the type of horse that could pick off a maiden pretty soon. He has shown good ability, a win is around the corner.”

Unnamed, 2-year-old filly (Sword Of State x Windermere {All Too Hard})
Purchased by Kennewell Racing, Group 1 Bloodstock (FBAA) and Edgar Park for $140,000 from the draft of Little Avondale Stud at the 2025 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
“I really like a Sword Of The State filly out of Windermere, she was bred in New Zealand by Little Avondale. I really like this filly, she is a filly I have liked from day one and I wanted to buy her badly at the Gold Coast. We were lucky enough to get her and didn’t have to pay a lot.

“She is a really nice filly that looks precocious enough, whether it is pre-Christmas or post-Christmas, I’m not too sure, but she is going very well.”
Unnamed, 2-year-old filly (Zoustar x Smart ‘N’ Sexy {Smart Missile})
Purchased by Kennewell Racing and Group 1 Bloodstock (FBAA) for $400,000 from the draft of Emirates Park at the 2025 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
“She was the dearest horse I bought for the year. I really liked her. She is a first foal, and I thought the shape of her was a 2-year-old type. I don’t think too many of the Zoustars are real early types, but she may be one.

“She is up to galloping stage and scooting along really well. We may see her at the jump-outs in a couple of weeks, and she will tell me whether she progresses from there. the young horses they tell you if they are ready or not.
“She is very well-bred. She is related to Cannonball and, importantly, Marine One, whom I trained and who was very quick. It is a fast 2-year-old family. She looks nice.”

“I bought King’s Gambit’s full brother, an I Am Invincible and out of Sultry Feeling. I thought he was a bargain, and even a couple of tiny shares are still available.
“I have had a good run with Vinnie throughout his career, and I really like this colt. I thought he was the exact type of I Am Invincible colt I like.”

“If he can run, he is a bargain, his brother was placed in the Golden Slipper and is now a stallion.
“He isn't an early type of 2-year-old, he was a late foal, and he's giving me really good vibes. He will be ready for the Autumn 2-year-old season. He is a lovely colt.”
Unnamed, 2-year-old colt (Extreme Warrior x Devout Hero {No Nay Never {USA})
Purchased by Blueblood Thoroughbreds and Kennewell Racing for $80,000 from the draft of The Chase at the 2025 Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale.
“I bought an Extreme Warrior colt out of Adelaide with Blueblood Thoroughbreds, it was my pick of the colts for the sale and was lucky enough to join with Bluebloods for the first time.

“He looks a real sharp 2-year-old, he is in training now, he is superbly bred, out of Alinghi’s family, and it is a very good family, and I like him a lot and he could be early enough.
“I like the way he is going.”
